What are the 50 State Highpoints?

The 50 State Highpoints list includes the single highest natural point in each U.S. state. The list is defined by geography rather than by any club, so there is little dispute over which points qualify. The highpoints range from Denali in Alaska at 20,310 feet, the highest peak in North America, to Britton Hill in Florida at 345 feet. Some are short walks from a parking area, some are on private land that requires permission, and a few are major mountaineering objectives. The Highpointers Club brings together people working on the list and records those who finish.

Highpointing is as much about travel as climbing. The list takes people to every corner of the country, often to places they would never otherwise visit.
